Chat Watch 5.0.0.6 is now available! This minor revision features several bug fixes and one new feature.
The new feature lets you log instant message events to Windows Vista'a Parental Controls' Activity Reports. As you may already know, the Windows Vista Home Premium edition contains parental controls that let you set what programs can be run, time limits, and other constraints on children's accounts. (To read more about Vista's Parental Controls visit Microsoft at

Chat Watch 5.0.0.6 can integrate with Windows Vista's Parental Controls by logging instant message events to Windows Vista'a Parental Controls' Activity Reports. If this feature is enabled in Chat Watch's settings, Chat Watch will log to Vista's Parental Controls each time a new instant message is sent or received.
To enable this feature, open Chat Watch's settings and click the Parental Controls option. You will see the following screen:

(If you are not using Windows Vista the option will be disabled.) Select the Windows Vista integration option and click
Ok to save your changes. Now when an instant message conversation starts, it will be logged in Windows Vista's Parental Controls' Activity Reports as shown below:

You cannot view the chat logs here - you still must use Chat Watch to do that. To use this feature you must have Windows Vista's Parental Controls applied to that user with activity logging enabled. For help doing this consult Windows Vista's documentation.
